Meet Dr. Erena Lanza

Dr. Erena, Kynan and CypressFinding a Better Way to Live

Dr. Erena was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and is a huge fan of all things Pittsburgh. She grew up playing sports and riding horses, but no matter what sport she was playing her days always ended at the barn. She has ridden her entire life but did not begin riding in competitions until the age of 18. She competed in AQHA shows across the country and saw great success in the show arena. It was her love of horses and wanting to become a better rider that led her to see a chiropractor for the first time.

Dr. Erena has always had a passion for helping those in her community. In high school she was part of student council and a teen leadership group where she was one of only two students in her grade representing her school. In college she spent a lot of time volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House as well as working as a charity event organizer. Throughout chiropractic college she volunteered her time at a senior living center coordinating and assisting with various activities for the residents.

Dr. Erena attended the University of Pittsburgh for her undergraduate degree where she graduted Magna Cum Laude. From there she went on to attend Life University for chiropractic school, the largest chiropractic school in the nation, where she also graduated Magna Cum Laude. While in chiropractic school Dr. Erena was vice president of the Pierce Results System club, where she lectured to and taught other students how to analyze x-rays and other objective findings for more specific chiropractic work. In addition to her schoolwork, volunteering and teaching students in club, she spent her weekends attending hundreds of additional hours of seminars to further her learning.

Experiencing Orthospinology

At the beginning of chiropractic school Dr. Erena got adjusted every week. After every adjustment she would feel great, but by the end of the week she was in the same pain again. This cycle continued for a year, and it bothered Dr. Erena that she had not seen any improvement and the chiropractor was not changing their approach. It was then that Dr. Erena sought out a different, more specific type of chiropractic. She started to see a chiropractic Orthospinologist. After just weeks of care her 3x/week migraines were completely gone, her pain was completely gone, and her mental fog had vanished. She could also now hold her adjustments for 3 months without needing another. It was then that Dr. Erena began to dedicate all her time to learning more about Orthospinology.

Since then, she has attended multiple seminars, become certified in Orthospinology Basic 1, Basic 2 and advanced levels, and spent 6 months as an apprentice in the office of the past Orthospinology president, Dr. Ken Humber. She is always striving to learn more and further her knowledge so that she can provide the best possible care to all of her patients.

A Love For Animals

Dr Erena’s passion for horses and dogs led her to pursue an additional certification in animal chiropractic. She studied at the renowned Options for Animals, school of Animal Chiropractic. It is the only school in the United States that, once graduated from, allows doctors to sit for the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association (IVCA) test. Dr. Erena holds her IVCA certification, proudly offering chiropractic care to dogs, cats, and horses.

Enjoying the Nampa Area

Outside of the office Dr Erena loves to be outdoors with her fiancé, Kynan, and dog Cypress. She enjoys hiking, playing pickleball, travelling, camping, and spending time with family. She hopes to learn to hunt and fish as well. She values good nutrition and enjoys cooking with her fiancé, eating local and organic foods as much as possible. It is their goal to one day have a self-sustaining ranch of their own. They currently reside in Nampa and are extremely happy to be a part of this amazing community.
